What is company re-registration in Zimbabwe?
Company re-registration in Zimbabwe is the process of re-incorporating your company with the Deeds and Intellectual Property (Previously Deeds, Companies and Intellectual Property (DCIP) according to the Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Chapter 24:32).
Why should we re-register our company?
2019 saw the introduction of the Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Chapter 24:32) and section 303(9) of the Act requires all existing companies and private business corporations to re-register under the new Act.
When is the deadline for company re-registration in Zimbabwe?
The deadline for company re-registration is 28 February 2023. All companies not re-registered by this deadline will be considered non-existent.

- Minutes – The directors should pass minutes to re-register the company and file the Minutes in their company records
- Resolution – Existing shareholders must agree to re-register the company by signing a special resolution

It usually takes upto 5 working days to re-register your company with the Companies and Intellectual Property.
What information do I need to provide for company re-registration?
You need to provide your company name and company number.
Is every company supposed to re-register?
No. Only companies registered before 12 February 2019 are the ones supposed to re-register.
